WE HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS AND NOT SO GOOD NEWS

Well I haven’t posted in a while because to be honest with you, it’s becoming harder and harder to find the humor in cancer and I’m sick and tired of talking about fuck-cancercancer!! That said…

So we went in for the last chemo and we were so happy and we couldn’t wait to get out of there. Good riddance, adios, and all that jazz. That was it, we’re done, we’re over it, don’t ever want to come back, finished. Bill us! We will be able to pay for this over priced bed-and-breakfast in, oh say over 30 years? Then Michelle had a CT scan to make sure everything was clear and also because she had to get her stent out or replaced. Well, it turns out there was some good news and not so good news. The good news and this is good news, the tumors are shrinking. The word they used was significantly decreased. The bad news, they’re not gone. So that means she needs 2 to 3 more chemo treatments. Noooooooo! They also want to give her a PET scan because that will tell more about the tumors. They might still be there, but they might be dead cells and not cancer cells. So we’re looking at extending this nightmare until the middle of March?????

This is a little setback and we were upset but it could be worse and the tumors are responding to the chemo, so that is a very positive thing. One more positive thing out of all this, between the CT scan and the PET scan my wife will glow-in-the-dark. And as a friend put it, “you never know when you might need a nightlight.”

Do they still perform lobotomies?
